Courses
Whether you are a complete beginner or an accomplished artist we can help you to learn the techniques involved in silk screen printing. We use only water based inks and practice in a solvent free workshop promoting an environmentally friendly way of working. All materials and equipment necessary for your course are included in the price. You will only need to pay a modest fee for the type of paper, fabric and screen emulsion used. This way you can be as extravagant or as modest as you like.
We can also tailor make courses for you and a group or friends, just Email us and we can discuss your needs.

5 week Beginners Courses
Tuesday Jan 31st - Tuesday Feb 28th
Tuesday April 24th - Tuesday May 22nd
On these beginners courses you will be taught the processes for creating a paper stencil, drawing fluid and screen filler stencil and finally, photostencil. Throughout the 5 weeks we will take you through preparing and exposing screens, mixing inks, registration techniques and printing techniques. All materials are included.
£80 per person. 7-9pm on Tuesday nights.
There are only 6 places available so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Follow on Courses
Tuesday 6th March - Tuesday 3rd April
Tuesday 19th June - Tuesday 17th July
This course is geared towards those who have already completed our beginners course or had experience screen printing elsewhere. If you have a specific project in mind we will help you to see it through whilst fine tuning your techniques. We will be working on multiple coloured prints whilst introducing you to mono printing, and film production should it be appropriate to your ideas. It is an opportunity for you to take time working through an idea with the technical support of professional printmakers.
Please note: mid tone films are produced out of house and will add a small extra cost should you require them.
£80 per person. 7-9pm on Tuesday nights
1 Day Photostencil Courses
Saturday 10th March
Saturday 19th May
Saturday 21st July
On these intensive day courses you will be taught all the processes needed to create a photostencil for printing. Processes covered are; preparing stencils for the screen, preparing the screen for exposure, exposing your image onto the screen, mixing up inks, registering your print and printing your image.
£80 per person. Above dates. 10am - 5pm

Half day Taster Sessions
Saturday 21st April
Saturday 16th June
This taster session will give you an insight into the basics of screen printing. We will be working with paper stencils and drawing fluid stencils to create two colour images. We will then teach you printing and registration techniques.
£40 per person. Above dates. 1pm - 5pm
